The United States Hockey League (USHL), a privately owned spectator sports organization founded in 1947, is the highest-level junior ice hockey league recognized by USA Hockey. As of 2023, the USHL employs approximately 40 people and is headquartered in the United States.
The USHL partnered with the NHL and USA Hockey in April 2025 to launch the Declaration of Excellence initiative, aiming to provide players with resources for advancement. On May 8, 2025, the USHL presented Larry Robbins with the Gasparini Award, recognizing his contributions to the league's growth. The USHL also announced Coleson Hanrahan as the recipient of the Curt Hammer Award for the 2024-2025 season on May 6, 2025. Enduraphin became the official protein partner for the 2025 DICK’S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic, held September 17-22, 2025. The USHL confirmed that Niagara Falls is under consideration for league expansion.
