On September 25, 2026, VNPT and Qualcomm Technologies expanded their strategic partnership under an agreement targeting $200 million in AI opportunities. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development and commercialization of AI-enabled products and smart connectivity solutions for Vietnam and international markets. Previously, on September 22, VNPT selected RADCOM, an Israeli network assurance provider, to supply service assurance for its roaming network, replacing its existing supplier. The state-owned telecoms group, which serves over 30 million subscribers through its VinaPhone mobile brand, chose RADCOM after a competitive request for proposal process. Earlier in September, on the 14th, Vietnam's Authority of Radio Frequency Management announced that VNPT, Viettel, and Vietnamobile collectively secured three paired 900MHz spectrum blocks for over VND 3 trillion (approximately USD 116 million) in an auction. This followed VNPT's win of the C3-C3' pair for nearly VNĐ1.079 trillion, as announced on September 10.
