Vodafone Germany selected Aurora Networks and HUBER+SUHNER to upgrade its cable network, focusing on advanced Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) and virtual CMTS technologies. The project involves deploying a Remote PHY solution, with Aurora supplying its vCCAP Evo platform and QAM video systems, and HUBER+SUHNER providing Remote PHY devices. This initiative aims to enable multi-gigabit services, ensure long-term scalability, and support sustainable network expansion. Earlier on March 24, an industry news roundup had noted Vodafone Germany's plans for a cable broadband infrastructure upgrade.
