Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) unveiled its MIPCOM 2026 formats slate on October 1, 2026, bringing together new unscripted and scripted formats from its global network of production companies. Leading the slate is the comedy game show "Unacceptable," which sees two teams defend controversial opinions to persuade a studio audience. Previously, on September 18, WBITVP secured an international deal with Portuguese public broadcaster RTP, commissioning "Negócio Fechado," a local adaptation of the "Cash or Trash" factual entertainment format. Hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira, the Portuguese version is set to premiere on RTP1 on October 5, airing Monday to Friday. Earlier, on September 16, WBITVP and Finnish broadcaster Nelonen began preparations for "The Dark Side (Pimeä puoli)," a 10-part true crime series featuring dramatised scenes created entirely with generative AI. Hosted by journalist Riku Rantala and retired narcotics detective Kalevi Puonti, the series will premiere on Nelonen and its streaming service Ruutu on October 2. This follows CEE deals sealed by WBITVP on June 9, where Prva TV in Serbia and Pro TV in Romania commissioned local versions of shows from "The Bachelor" franchise.
