Xtreme Football League, also known as XFL, is a privately owned entity headquartered in the US. Founded in 2018 and operating in the spectator sports industry with approximately 500 employees, the XFL also functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. The league is a US professional football league comprising eight teams located across the United States in mid-sized to major markets, each of which is served by at least one other major professional sports team.
The United Football League began general public ticket sales for the 2026 United Bowl on May 1, 2026. This follows the league's announcement on April 24 that Washington D.C.'s Audi Field, home of the defending champion DC Defenders, will host the 2026 United Bowl on Saturday, June 13, airing on ABC. UFL Co-Owner Mike Repole and UFL President & CEO Russ Brandon made the host city announcement. Earlier, on April 23, the UFL noted that five of its current players are first-round draft picks, a rare distinction considering only about 1.5% of NCAA draft-eligible players are selected in the NFL Draft. Previously, on April 22, the league announced its Week Four Players of the Week, honoring Jordan Ta’amu, Cam Gill, and Tanner Brown for their standout performances, with players from the DC Defenders and Louisville Kings sharing the recognition.
