XYZ Films co-founder Nate Bolotin discussed the score for the SXSW film “He Bled Neon” in March 2026, stating the ambition to provide audiences with a memorable film, score, and songs as he and director Drew Kirsch conceptualized the project with composers Zhu and Joe Trapanese. Previously, in January 2026, Independent Film Company and Shudder acquired Natalie Erika James’ supernatural body horror film “Saccharine” from XYZ Films ahead of its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. This follows international broadcasters Canal+ BeTV and Lionsgate Play picking up the Finnish crime thriller series “Conflict” in December 2025. XYZ Films co-produced the 6x60’ series with Backman & Hoderoff for MTV Finland, a series that explores the possibility of a proxy war breaking out in Europe.
