Denmark’s Nuuday reorganised into consumer and business units

Danish service provider Nuuday has reorganised its operations in line with a new growth strategy with a new IT platform as a foundation. YouSee says Danish children get first phone before parents really think them ready

Danish operator YouSee said that the parents in Denmark tend to buy children their first phone at a younger age than they consider best. The reasons are external pressure, practicalities, and their offspring's fear of missing out (FOMO). YouSee is tying up with children's rights association Boerns Vilkar and Dumbphone.dk to make it easier for parents to make the difficult choice about their child's first handset. It is bringing out a new website dedicated to the issue, too.

Telenor Denmark appoints head of business market

Telenor Denmark has announced the appointment of Mikkel Duelund Brusgaard as head of its business market on 15 March. He joins the operator from the position of VP for commercial management at Nets, part of the European payment technology group Nexi, which also includes Sia. He has previously worked at both YouSee and TDC, too, giving him a good knowledge of the Danish telecoms market.
