Zynga, in collaboration with Take-Two Interactive, surprised gamers by shadow-dropping the free-to-play looter shooter *Borderlands Mobile* on the Apple App Store as an iOS exclusive on April 10, 2026. This move followed its initial, unannounced release on April 9 as a limited-time public beta test, allowing users to provide feedback to developers. Previously, on April 8, Zynga and developer NaturalMotion formally announced *Borderlands Mobile* as a free-to-play title, confirming its limited-time test availability on iOS in the United States.
