The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a privately owned collegiate athletic conference founded in 1953 and headquartered in the United States. Employing approximately 110 people, the ACC's primary activity is organizing and managing spectator sports competitions. In 2023, the conference's revenue was less than $1 billion. The ACC's stated mission is to enhance the academic and athletic experiences of its student-athletes while improving their overall well-being.
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday that Duke University's football game against Syracuse University will begin at 12 PM on October 28th and air on the ACC Network. This will be Duke's second conference game, following a home game against NC State University. Separately, the ACC announced the 2024-25 Academic Honor Roll on Friday, recognizing 7927 student-athletes. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill had a school-record 557 student-athletes recognized, marking the third consecutive year UNC had over 500 honorees. Finally, the ACC nominated NC State's Grace Hartman (Cross Country) and Chloe Negrete (Gymnastics) for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
