On April 22, 2026, the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) and CBC Sports unveiled their broadcast and streaming schedule for the upcoming season, following a five-year partnership announced seven weeks prior. CBC Sports will live stream each game, with the season beginning on May 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET from the Edmonton EXPO Centre, featuring former Stingers player Xavier Moon returning with the Winnipeg Sea Bears. Previously, on April 9, the Brampton Honey Badgers signed Hamilton-native and University of South Florida alum Joshua Omojafo, marking his first professional campaign in the CEBL after a four-year collegiate career. Earlier, on March 20, the Edmonton Stingers announced the signing of Quebec City native Emmanuel Bandoumel, a 6'4" guard currently competing overseas in Finland where he averages 22.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.2 steals per game. This follows news from March 19 that the Saskatoon Mamba will host its first "Be Well" School Day Game on May 14, 2026, at SaskTel Centre, open to students in grades 5-12 and developed in partnership with Saskatoon Public Schools to support student well-being. The Edmonton Stingers also signed St. Thomas, Ontario's Taye Donald on March 11, a 6'2" guard returning for his third summer with the team, having previously played as a developmental player and on his first pro-contract.
