Doordarshan (DD) is a state-owned Indian public service broadcaster headquartered in New Delhi, India. It is the largest terrestrial television network in the country and operates 24 television channels and 39 radio stations. DD was founded in 1959 and is owned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It has a staff of around 40,000 employees and generated less than $500 million in revenue in 2020.
