On January 28, 2026, Drei began offering six months of free basic fees for its home internet services, applicable from the Home Boost tariff and including a router with free activation. Previously, on January 26, Drei and the Austrian Federal Association of Fire Brigades announced a new strategic cooperation aimed at establishing a comprehensive weather measurement network across the state. Earlier, on December 1, 2025, Günter Lischka was noted as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Drei, a role he has held since June 2022. Lischka joined Drei in 2009 and brings over 25 years of experience in IT and telecommunications. This follows the November 26, 2025, announcement that Austrian internet service provider next layer acquired the housing areas previously operated by Drei at its Heiligenstädter Lände 27c location, expanding next layer's data center infrastructure to a total of four sites in Vienna.
