News Summary:

EMG's eddyNCDT 3020 inductive eddy current sensors are employed in electromagnetic stabilization systems to control strip behavior and measure vibration in hot-dip coating plants, which continuously coat steel strip with molten zinc, zinc alloys, or aluminum alloys, as of February 17, 2026. This follows news on February 8 that EMG's eddy current systems play a crucial role in measuring strip vibration in hot-dip coating systems, where inductive eddy current sensors manage vibrations caused by high belt speeds. Earlier, on February 6, EMG integrated 10 to 16 Micro-Epsilon EU40 inductive sensors into its electromagnetic strip stabilization systems to reduce vibration and maintain coating quality. Previously, on February 3, EMG celebrated two decades of its eMASS® system, an electromagnetic strip stabilization solution for continuous galvanizing lines (CGLs). The eMASS®, initially developed to minimize strip vibration in the coating zone and allow narrower nozzle gaps, has matured into a modular system that establishes a global standard for non-contact strip stabilization, with new perspectives emerging from its iCASS® system.
