Earlier in May, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that changing the visual style of the first *Borderlands* cost $50 million. Zelnick explained that Gearbox Software, which developed the game, decided at the last moment to shift from an initially darker, more realistic vision, using this situation as an example of decisions that test a business's resilience. Also in May, on May 15, details emerged for a *Borderlands 4* free update, including new dual raid bosses designed to fight together, with the death of one empowering the other.
