This effort aims to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise charity. Previously, on August 20, 2026, Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram signed a deal with the media and entertainment group Global, which has a £200 million turnover, to manage advertising on its new publicly-owned buses. The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) subsequently appointed Global on August 21, clarifying that advertising revenue generated from the soon-to-be franchised buses will be reinvested into the regional transport network as public control of the fleet begins rolling out.
