International University Sports Federation, also known as FISU, is a non-profit organization headquartered in Switzerland. Previously, on January 16, 2026, President Donald Trump's administration expanded a visa travel ban exception to include major athletic events such as the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup. This follows the signing of a host contract on November 26, 2025, by the International University Sports Federation, the China Student Sports Federation, and the Changchun government for the 33rd FISU Winter World University Games in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin province, in 2027. FISU President Reno Edder announced Changchun's successful bid to host the event.
