Private equity backers mull MasOrange IPO

MasOrange shareholders are reportedly eyeing a possible IPO of the Spanish operator next year, in a bid to liquidate assets. The network operator was established in 2022 after a €20 billion merger between Orange’s local subsidiary and MasMovil.

Masmovil hikes mobile data for convergent subs at no extra cost

The main brand of Spain's Masmovil (now part of the MasOrange group) has decided to substantially increase mobile data bundles included in its convergent plans at no extra cost to subscribers. As a result, the company's cheapest fibre plus mobile combination now comes with 30GB of data at up to 5G speeds, 300 Mbps fibre broadband, unlimited calls to landlines for EUR 29.90 a month.

Spain's Masmovil, Yoigo and Pepephone to end free UK roaming in March

Three of the main brands of MasOrange have followed Orange Spain in announcing an end to free roaming for customers of when visiting the United Kingdom. Following the departure of the UK from the European Union, the brands Masmovil, Yoigo and Pepephone have informed their users that 'roam like home' will no longer be applied in the UK from 03 March 2025, meaning extra charges will be payable for calls, SMS and mobile data for the first time since June 2017.
