Earlier in the month, on April 12, the NAIA confirmed it would welcome six new member institutions for the 2026-27 academic year, following approvals from the NAIA Council of Presidents at the recent National Convention. On April 8, SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) junior Holly Lau received NAIA Women's Golfer of the Week honors after winning the Lady Roadrunner Spring Invite, where she beat six NAIA top 10 individuals by firing a final-round 69. This followed the April 6 announcement that Culver-Stockton (Mo.) sophomore Addison Holm swept both NAIA Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards for her performance in two victories, which included setting two program records and contributing to the Wildcats' first shutout win.
