Initial qualifiers for the 2026 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship were announced on February 20, with 168 student-athletes from 28 NAIA member institutions securing spots for the meet scheduled for March 4-7 in Elkhart, Ind. Previously on February 17, Montreat (N.C.) junior Nathan Cemin earned NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for two first-place finishes at the Tryon Mid-Winter Collegiate Invitational, where he met the NAIA “A” standard and set new Montreat program records. On the same day, Dickinson State (N.D.) senior Kori Nagel received her second Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for a pair of winning throws at the SDSU Indoor Classic. Also on February 17, Marian (Ind.) senior Katie Woods secured her second consecutive NAIA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award for two elite performances at the Music City Challenge. This follows the February 10 approval for Shawnee State, an existing NAIA member, by the Division II Membership Committee to enter the expedited provisional membership process for NCAA Division II, commencing September 1. This two-year process, established in 2024, provides schools an opportunity to complete their transition to Division II.
