News Summary:

On March 11, 2025, Comcast NBCUniversal and NBCUniversal Local announced the return of the NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants for the eighth consecutive year. This program will distribute $2.5 million in unrestricted funds to eligible non-profit organizations across 11 U.S. markets. Separately, Universal Pictures' film *Wicked* generated approximately $100 million in premium VOD sales following a 40-day theatrical release that earned $424.5 million in North American box office revenue. This information was shared by Peter Levinsohn, chairman of global distribution for NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios, at an industry panel. There was also additional programming added to Variety's 2025 Entertainment Marketing Summit, presented by Deloitte, on April 24 in Los Angeles.
