Radio Television Brunei (RTB)
Radio Television Brunei, also known as RTB, is a state-owned public broadcaster headquartered in Brunei. Fully owned and funded by the government and operating under the direct jurisdiction of the Prime Minister's Office, the organization was founded in 1975 with the expansion to include television services, building on operations that began in 1957 with Radio Brunei. The entity operates with approximately 150 employees, functions as a tier 2 media tech buyer, and reported $68.1M in revenue as of 2023. RTB specializes in broadcast television and radio, functioning as a comprehensive media organization that informs, educates, and entertains the public, aligning with national values. Its services are divided across television, radio, and digital platforms. RTB operates three television channels: RTB Perdana, which focuses on news, educational content, and documentaries; RTB Aneka, offering entertainment, cultural, and children's programming; and RTB Sukmaindera, an international channel broadcasting mixed content. On the radio side, RTB manages five national networks: Nasional FM, Pilihan FM, Pelangi FM, Harmoni FM, and Nur Islam FM, each catering to different listener demographics. Additionally, RTB maintains a digital presence through its RTBGo streaming platform, which offers live and on-demand access to its television and radio content.
