Thai Public Broadcasting Service, also known as Thai PBS, is a state-owned public broadcasting service headquartered in Thailand. Established in 2008 under the Thai Public Broadcasting Service Act, BE 2551, it operates as a state agency with legal personality, distinct from a government agency or state enterprise. With approximately 140 employees, the organization reported $64.4M in revenue as of 2023, functioning as a tier 2 media tech buyer. The company specializes in broadcast television and radio, operating its public television station on UHF Channel 29, a frequency formerly utilized by the privately run channel iTV. Thai PBS operates the station formerly known as iTV, TITV, and TV Thai television stations, respectively. Prior to its official program launch on February 1, 2008, Thai PBS conducted broadcast tests by connecting to a temporary signal for special programs, which had been appropriated by Television of Thailand (TVT or TV 11 Thailand) at the TVT New Phetchaburi Road Broadcasting Station, from January 15 to 31, 2008.
