Star Channel, also known as Star, is a privately owned Greek television network, owned by New Television S.A. (Néa Tileórasi A.E.) and headquartered in Kifissia, Greece. Founded in 1993, the company operates with approximately 400 employees and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. It specializes in broadcast television and radio as a free-to-air national television network. The channel, part of the Vardinogiannis family's media holdings, initially focused its programming on lifestyle, entertainment news, and foreign cinema. Over the last decade, it has diversified its output to include a significant news division and domestic reality and variety productions. Operationally, the network is integrated into a media ecosystem that includes Alpha TV, with which it shares technical and production resources, such as the Green Pixel production company, positioning it in the country's private broadcasting sector.
