TG4's 7LÁ programme reported on the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme (HAS), opened following damage from Storm Éowyn in January. The Department of Social Protection provided figures to 7LÁ showing 93,007 applications (all stages) were registered for 75,733 people, totaling almost €12.8 million. Separately, 7LÁ reported that nearly 4,000 applications were received from Clare residents impacted by the storm.
