Founded in 1958, and beginning transmissions in 1960 as the first television station in the country, the company employs approximately 330 individuals and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. It specializes in broadcast television and radio, operating as a subsidiary of the media group, Televisora de Costa Rica S.A. The company operates several television channels, including its flagship station Teletica Canal 7, which provides a generalist programming schedule encompassing news, sports, and imported programs from international broadcasters. Its portfolio also includes XperTV Canal 33, which focuses on lifestyle programming and smaller sporting events, and TD+, a dedicated sports channel.
