On February 20, 2026, Henry Curteis, owner of jewellery firm Curteis Ltd, reported that a man claiming to be a BT representative attended a pre-arranged meeting at the company's sales office to discuss phone issues with the accounts and marketing directors. Earlier the same day, BT recognized Joshua Fiddler, a former Weston College learner and 2017 Business Administration Apprentice of the Year, for his work as a Business Analyst at the company. On February 19, BT lodged a plan for a second "street hub" in Aberystwyth, designed to provide free Wi-Fi and phone calls, following an earlier application this month to install a similar hub on Great Darkgate Street. Previously, on February 18, the BT SWAN Innovation Fund announced its support for the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) to transform its HR operations using a BT AI platform powered by Soprano Design, aiming to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks. This followed BT's plan on February 17 to replace two old payphone boxes on Strand Road and in Derry city centre with modern BT Street Hubs, each featuring two large digital display screens.
