Earlier on the same day, reports indicated the merger carried a $110 billion valuation, marking a pivotal point in the company's development following two significant acquisitions over the past 18 months. This news followed an executive shake-up in Paramount's streaming operations, where Cindy Holland exited the company just days before Paramount Skydance was expected to finalize its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. HBO’s Casey Bloys was set to take over Holland's role. The Skydance name pays tribute to Ellison's two-decades-old production company, which had merged with Paramount the previous year.
