Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF), a privately owned organization headquartered in Turkey, was founded in 1959 and employs approximately 500 individuals. It functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. As the governing body for basketball in Turkey, its main product is spectator sports, and it is responsible for organizing the Basketball Super League, the Turkish Basketball Cup, and the Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup.
The Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF), in collaboration with the NBA and FIBA, announced on August 5, 2026, the inaugural Men’s Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Next Up camp, which will take place from August 26-29 at the Basketbol Gelişim Merkezi in Istanbul. Previously, on January 28, Garanti BBVA extended its agreement with the TBF for another five years. This renewal continues a partnership that commenced in 2001, establishing it as the longest-running sponsorship in Turkish basketball history. TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu and Garanti BBVA CEO Mahmut Akten announced the agreement at a signing ceremony on January 27. Earlier, on January 22, the TBF and Ziraat Bankasi signed an agreement designating Ziraat Bankasi as the name sponsor of the Turkish Basketball Cup.
