World Wonder Ring Stardom, a privately owned company headquartered in Japan and owned by New Japan Pro-Wrestling since June 2024, is a tier 1 media tech buyer. Founded in September 2010 by former All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling (AJW) co-producer Rossy Ogawa, retired professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Fuka Kakimoto, and former AJW veteran professional wrestler Nanae Takahashi, the company operates as a Japanese joshi puroresu or women's professional wrestling promotion based in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan.
World Wonder Ring Stardom on January 28, 2026, withdrew a previously announced "Notice Regarding Ticket Seat Number Display Change," which had been part of considerations to smooth future operations. Earlier in January, on the 18th, the company issued a notice to stakeholders and fans concerning card products utilizing the likenesses of former wrestlers. This followed the March 25, 2025, announcement by Mina Shirakawa that she would depart Stardom on March 31 to sign with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Previously, on March 14, 2025, Sayaka Kurara won the 2025 STARDOM Cinderella tournament, defeating Rina in the finals. Kurara indicated she had made a decision regarding her winner's "wish" but would share it at a later time.
