Beers and Nortje pulled back 1 minute 37 seconds on current overall leaders Luca Braidot and Simone Avondetto, setting up a thrilling final stage, with Wout Alleman and Martin Stosek (Buff-BH) winning the stage. Previously, on Friday, overall leaders Luca Braidot and Simone Avondetto (Wilier-Vittoria) secured their first stage win in the wet and muddy Stage 5 ‘Queen Stage’ from Greyton to Stellenbosch, despite having held the overall lead for three days. Earlier, on Stage 4, Gaze and Schwarzbauer took victory in the men's race, with Braidot and Avondetto retaining their overall lead despite a late crash, while Courtney and Seiwald won the women’s race, ending Lill and Keller’s streak. On Stage 3, the longest stage of the race, Marc Pritzen and Felix Stehli achieved a surprise victory with a decisive late attack 40km from the finish on a relatively flat, fast, and muddy course, marking their first stage win.
