Comcast announced on Friday, September 17, 2025, the commencement of construction to connect almost 12,000 homes and businesses in Westport, Connecticut to high-speed internet. On the same day, a source reported that Comcast plans job cuts within its largest unit, encompassing Xfinity internet, mobile, and pay television services. This restructuring aims to centralize operations, including marketing, legal, and finance, at the corporate level, and strengthen the broadband business. Comcast also provides its services through various platforms including WKBN.com, WKBN+ Free Television apps, and several cable and streaming services.
