On September 1, 2026, the press office of Duna Médiaszolgáltató stated that Hungarian public media chiefs are filing a police complaint regarding alleged unlawful management practices from previous years. This follows the company's confirmation on August 5, 2026, that it had withdrawn the appointments of Gábor Hajdú as editor-in-chief and Miklós Borsa as a presenter. The decision came shortly after Prime Minister Péter Magyar publicly commented on the appointments on Facebook, stating "I don't think so…" beneath the announcement.
