Joyn is a privately owned German streaming service founded in 2019 by ProSiebenSat.1 Media. It offers a range of entertainment content and had approximately 220 employees as of 2023. The company's revenue in 2023 was approximately $100 million.
ProSiebenSat.1, a media provider, expanded its use of LiveU's IP-video gear in an unspecified date to enhance newsgathering capabilities, incorporating LiveU Mobile Data and LiveU Matrix. ProSiebenSat.1 reported €3.91 billion ($4.23 billion) in revenue for the 2024 financial year, a 2% increase, while adjusted EBITDA decreased by 4% to $602 million. On March 12, 2025, Warburg Pincus appointed Seraina Macia, CEO and co-founder of MGA Joyn Insurance, as a senior advisor. ProSiebenSat.1 removed ARD and ZDF media libraries from its streaming platform Joyn after a test phase ended on an unspecified date. A JOYN Studio, in collaboration with the Foulquier brothers, opened Chez Fifi in New York at 140 E. 74th Street in December 2024.
