Employing approximately 4,000 people, MBC's flagship channel broadcasts on digital channel 11. While previously under government ownership, it is now primarily controlled by the Foundation of Broadcast Culture (70% ownership) and the Jung-Su Scholarship Foundation (30%), receiving no government funding. MBC generates revenue mainly through advertising and operates 19 regional stations and 10 subsidiaries. Its 2020 revenue was below $500 million.
