On September 9, 2026, a Nielsen report indicated that the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and Peacock’s 'Love Island USA' powered NBCUniversal (NBCU-Versant) to the No. 1 spot in TV usage, countering the usual summer slowdown. Previously, on September 7, Peacock greenlit a new American version of the UK survival format 'I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!', to be titled 'Get Me Out of Here' (working title). ITV America, which also produces the American version of 'Love Island' for the Comcast-owned streamer, will produce the adaptation. This followed August 26 reports suggesting that WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event could move to Netflix in the United States as part of a potential agreement involving Peacock, which had streamed the special since its 2024 return. Earlier that day, The New York Times reported that Netflix executives were discussing adding Peacock to its service, a move that would consolidate much of WWE programming, despite Netflix's historical resistance to collaborating with competitors.
Peacock currently holds 47 broadcasting rights for sports competitions including ice skating, marathon, winter sports, american football, cyclo-cross, motorsports, tennis, soccer | association football, golf, horse racing, cycling, athletics, rugby union and gymnastics.
