News Summary:

Viasat partnered with Icaro Media Group on February 20, 2026, to accelerate digital connectivity and introduce new in-flight advertising in Brazil, launching its first campaign with Brazilian beer giant Itaipava for Carnival. Previously, on February 18, Astralintu purchased two S/X/Ka-band ground antennas from Viasat. These antennas will address a ground segment coverage gap in South America and the Caribbean, expanding Viasat’s Real-Time Earth network as Astralintu builds its Equatorial Ground Station Network. The same day, a Viasat report indicated that 91% of decision-makers across five major industries plan to integrate Direct-to-Device (D2D) Internet of Things (IoT) devices into their strategies within the next 18 months, highlighting a growing urgency for D2D IoT adoption. Earlier, on February 17, Korean Air selected Viasat to provide in-flight broadband service for its upcoming fleet of 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft. These planes are scheduled for delivery by 2027 as part of Korean Air's fleet modernization plan and will be linefit with Viasat’s connectivity solution.
