Founded in 2002 and headquartered in the US, the YES Network is a regional sports network with approximately 430 employees. It holds exclusive local television rights to broadcast games for the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New York City FC (Major League Soccer), and New York Liberty (WNBA). In addition to live sporting events, YES Network's programming includes original content such as biographies, interviews, and magazine-style shows, as well as college sports and Manchester City soccer matches. It is considered the most-watched regional sports network in the United States, primarily distributing its content through streaming services.
On March 10, 2025, YES Network reported that Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole traveled to California for an elbow examination by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. The network also reported earlier that same day that the Yankees planned to add Carlos Carrasco to their major league roster. Carrasco, signed to a minor league deal in February, had an opt-out clause in his contract, which he could have triggered on March 10, 2025, if not added to the 40-man roster, according to Jack Curry of YES Network. Additionally, YES Network will air the March 10, 2025, game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers.
