Youku Tudou, also known as Youku, is a Chinese video hosting service owned by Alibaba Group. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in China, Youku offers both user-generated and professional content. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010. In 2012, Youku merged with its competitor Tudou, and in 2015, the merged entity was acquired by Alibaba Group, leading to its delisting from the New York Stock Exchange. As of 2020, Youku has over 2,200 employees and generates over $1 billion in annual revenue.
