This followed the newly formed EuroHockey Youth Committee holding its first meeting in Brussels on May 22, marking a "new chapter" as new members joined after long-term members "graduated from the youth ranks" following the EuroHockey Championships last August. Previously, on May 21, Clydesdale Western set an early benchmark at the EuroHockey Club Trophy II Women 2026 in Alanya, securing an emphatic 6–1 victory over Gaziantep Polisgücü.
