Previously, on August 11, 2026, hr and the European Central Bank (ECB) announced they will co-host the free Europa Open Air concert at Weseler Werft in Frankfurt on August 20, 2026. The event, which aims to engage the community with music and culture, will feature performances by the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and Frankfurt Radio Symphony and display ten shortlisted euro banknote designs at the ECB stand.
