The International Handball Federation announced the seventh edition of International Handball Week will take place from July 12 to 18, 2026, marking the organization's 80th anniversary. Earlier in April, Guinea took the lead in both junior (U19) and youth (U17) categories at the Women’s Intercontinental Phase of the IHF Trophy, held in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. This competition, which ran from April 7 to 11, 2026, brought together 10 national teams across two age categories, with coveted berths at the IHF Women's Junior and IHF Women's Youth World Championships at stake.
