Union Cycliste Internationale, also known as UCI, is a State Owned entity headquartered in Switzerland. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) published on April 21 the list of TV broadcasters for the third and final round of the 2026 UCI Track World Cup, scheduled to take place in Nilai, Malaysia, from April 24 to 26. This followed the UCI's April 15 publication of broadcasters for the second round of the World Cup, which ran from April 17 to 19 in Hong Kong, China. On April 9, the UCI announced an upgrade for the Pune Grand Tour, elevating the cycling event from UCI 2.2 to UCI 2.1 for its 2027 edition. This expansion will see the race stretch to 950 kilometers, with up to 200 km traversing Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad city limits—more than doubling the 99 km city route from its first edition—and includes a ₹700 crore investment for road upgrades. District Collector Jitendra Dudi, who announced these details, received an invitation to attend a UCI management committee meeting in Desenzano del Garda, Italy, from June 2 to 4. Previously, on March 27, nearly 300 pupils from Swiss schools gathered at the UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Aigle, Switzerland, to participate in the Dictée du Tour, an event associated with the Tour de France.
