News Summary:

Orange Romania concluded the 2026 edition of its UNbreakable Romania cybersecurity education program on April 6, engaging approximately 1,700 high school and university students in activities that integrated artificial intelligence into the evaluation process for the first time. Previously, on March 2, the company announced plans to test satellite connectivity in the second half of 2026 with AST SpaceMobile and Satellite Connect Europe, aiming to evaluate SMS, voice, and data performance, aligning with its "Trust the Future" strategic plan. Earlier, on February 19, CEO Julien Ducarroz stated Orange Romania plans to invest more than 200 million euro to expand its 5G/5G+ network coverage throughout 2026. The company also reported consolidated revenue of almost EUR 1.5 billion as of December 31, 2025, serving 9.1 million mobile customers, over 1 million fixed broadband internet customers, and approximately 1 million TV customers, noting a decline in its prepaid mobile segment partially offset by subscription growth. This followed an announcement on February 2 that Orange Romania expanded its 5G/5G+ coverage to 88 cities and reached approximately 4.5 million households with fiber optics by the end of 2025.
