Magnite Inc. filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google LLC on September 16, 2025, seeking financial damages due to Google's alleged illegal monopolization of digital advertising technology markets. The lawsuit alleges Google engaged in anticompetitive conduct for over a decade, harming independent ad exchange companies. A US District Court ruled in April that Google “wilfully engaged in a series of anticompetitive acts to acquire and maintain monopoly power” in ad exchange and ad server markets. Additional lawsuits were filed by Magnite, accusing Google of unlawfully monopolising ad exchange and publisher ad server markets and systematically rigging digital advertising markets to stifle competition. Google denied the allegations.
