Vodafone Romania and Telekom Romania Mobile Communications scheduled their merger for June 30, 2026, when Vodafone will assume Telekom's rights and obligations. This development follows Vodafone Romania's acquisition of Telekom Romania Mobile Communications on October 1, 2025, which began a phased integration of Telekom's operations systems and network. Previously, on October 2, 2025, international law firm Osborne Clarke advised Vodafone on its agreement to acquire Telekom Romania Mobile Communications S.A. from Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A., through which Vodafone acquired TKRM and its post-paid customer base. Concurrently, on October 1, 2025, OTE Group completed the sale of its subsidiary Telekom Romania Mobile Communications to Vodafone Romania, with Vodafone acquiring OTE’s entire stake in TKRM (100% minus 7 shares) and Digi Romania acquiring the prepaid segment, certain spectrum rights, and part of TKRM’s mobile base station portfolio.
