Previously, on July 15, Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) began delivering coverage of World Cup 2026 to viewers across Indonesia on its TVRI Nasional and TVRI Sport channels, running its broadcast operations on the Etere Ecosystem, deployed with distributor PT Galva Technologies. Earlier, on July 8, Fiki Satari was appointed President Director of TVRI. This follows TVRI's announcement on May 21 regarding its preparations to broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia and a strategic partnership with PT Folago Global Nusantara as its first Over The Top (OTT) service partner for the tournament broadcast.
