TVRI Nasional, also known as Televisi Republik Indonesia, is an Indonesian state-owned company headquartered in Indonesia. On October 1, 2026, state-owned broadcaster TVRI, in conjunction with Indonesia’s Multi Media Training Center (STMM) and the Directorate of Post and Broadcasting of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), conducted trials for Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV) and Digital Video Broadcasting-Internet (DVB-I). These technologies integrate broadcasting services with the internet and enable IP-based television distribution. Earlier in September, TVRI partnered with RANS Entertainment to broadcast the 2026 Asian Games from Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, free of charge to Indonesian audiences. The largest sports event in Asia is scheduled from September 19 to October 4, 2026. On September 2, TVRI marked its 64th anniversary with a ceremony at its North Sulawesi station, where participants wore traditional regional attire reflecting Indonesia’s cultural diversity. This followed a July 17 agreement between Türkiye and Indonesia to deepen cooperation in media, strategic communications, and public diplomacy, reached during a high-level roundtable in Jakarta involving officials and media executives.
