The Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), also known as the Public Broadcaster or საქართველოს საზოგადოებრივი მაუწყებლის, is a state-owned media organization headquartered in Georgia. Founded in 2004, following a 2004 law reforming its status, GPB operates broadcast television and radio services. Its history traces back to 1925 (radio) and 1956 (television). Currently, GPB's First Channel reaches 85% of the Georgian population, and its Second Channel reaches 55%. Programming is also available via satellite and internet to viewers in several European and Asian countries. The organization employs approximately 260 people.
