On May 1, 2026, IMG and World Rugby announced a long-term media rights partnership aimed at accelerating rugby’s expansion in the United States and globally. This agreement supports the Men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2033, both set to be hosted in the U.S. for the first time. Previously, on April 29, IMG appointed James Sion as chief operations officer.
