On June 24, 2026, leaders of the FIVB and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) met at Volleyball House on Olympic Day to explore potential areas of collaboration between the two Olympic sports. Previously, on June 10, the ITTF selected the inaugural cohort of 10 Presidents for its Member Associations Presidents Leadership Programme, a diverse group from five continents delivered in partnership with Questline. Earlier, on March 18, the ITTF Executive Board approved the creation of the ITTF Doubles World Cup, a new competition featuring Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles on the world stage. This follows the March 3 announcement that the ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup Macao 2026, presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, will be held at Galaxy Arena in Cotai from March 30 to April 5. The Federation had also announced a reorganisation of its administration on March 1, designed to focus on Member Association development and streamline operations, notably eliminating the Chief Executive Officer position under the new model.
