Türkiye Radyo-Televizyon Kurumu (TRT), also known as the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, is Turkey's state-owned national public broadcaster. Established in 1964, TRT is funded by a dedicated tax and operates a network of television and radio channels, along with a news production division. Employing approximately 4,440 people, TRT's annual revenue is below $1 billion (as of 2023). TRT's history includes founding membership in the European Broadcasting Union, with renewed membership in 1972 encompassing television broadcasting.
